Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After talking to my students about why most of them dislike math, the consensus is that "math is not fun." I want to show them that math is fun to help keep them engaged while also building certain math skills as well as problem solving skills.

My students are students who really persevere in their studies, especially when it comes to math and obtaining at least an 80 on a math regents.

Obtaining an 80 on a math regents creates a greater opportunity of being accepted into a State University, which presents more options for students who want to go to college.

My Project

The "eggspert" will allow us to play a fair game of Jeopardy Review before classroom exams. The pentominoes and soma cube will help students build problem solving skills and mathematical analysis. The math dice will help students reinforce and build number sense.

I want to show high school students that math is fun and they can and will use it in their every day lives.

I want to help them realize that math also builds problem solving skills, which they do use.
