This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The math manipulatives that I am requesting for this project will provide my students an easy way to learn different math and science concepts through hands-on resources. We will use the Addition and subtraction math machines Center and visualize math write wipe boards to help with solving addition/subtraction problems. The Jumbo Double-Sided Magnetic Money to help my students with money recognition and counting money. We will also use various science manipulatives for example Life Cycle Sequencing Kit, The Butterfly Nursery, and Building Brick STEM Challenge Kit to enhance their learning.

These new math and science manipulatives will provide an accurate and fun way for my students to understand different math and science concepts.

The math and science manipulatives will not only help my students understand the math and science concepts that they need to learn, but they will also help my students be more engaged and have more interest in learning different math skills. With your help, I will be able to have these new math and science manipulatives to promote engaging and positive learning experiences.

My 1st graders are low-income students who enjoy learning once it's in a relaxed, fun environment. They love to engage in project-based learning and they especially enjoy hands-on activities.
