Making Learning Stations Happen

My students need pencil holders, baskets, and supplies for task cards that they can use in their learning stations

My Students

My students are 5th and 6th grade students who are eager to learn and love to be active participants in their learning. As with any student, making sure that the students are motivated to learn and be successful in the classroom is essential. My students come from diverse backgrounds and struggling to be successful in their academic career is something that they should not have to worry about. With my students being eager to learn, learning stations work best because this allows them to not only learn but allows for movement during the school day which helps to decrease distractions and decrease behaviors.

Activities, such as task cards that allow my students to learn by doing help my students reach their fullest potential.

These activities allow my students to be able to physically manipulate things while still completing work.

My Project

My students are all at different places in their learning and on any given day, they are all doing different activities and working on different topics. Because of this, learning stations work the best for my students. These learning stations allow for my students to all be working on different activities based off of their academic level while still working together.

Task cards allow for my students to all work on different concepts and topics while still being able to work together.

These task cards will have prompts, problems and also real life questions that the students will have to complete and use real life information to solve while at the stations. These materials will be used to help create different centers for my students to rotate throughout during the school day. These stations will include Math, Language Arts, and fine motor activities that will have activities for the students to complete based off of their academic goals. These activities will be in the form of task cards that will have specific activities for the students to complete at each station as they rotate throughout the school day. Also, the supply buckets and pencil holders will be used in each center as a way to not only help the student to stay organized and have all of their needed supplies available to them, but also to help keep the center organized.
