My Students

I teach at a Title I School in East Texas. We are a small community school and we are limited on materials. However, our school serves a free breakfast every morning to ensure that all students receive the nutrition they need to start the day.

I want my students to have all the materials they need to better their education.

I am a 2nd-grade teacher. My classroom consists of a wide variety of diverse students that come from small towns. They are a bright group of kids who are eager to learn and I want them to be able to walk into my classroom and feel excited about what is in store for them that day. Because they are from a small town, they feel the need to challenge themselves to the max to show their full potential. This is something we encourage at BES because we know that our students are capable of accomplishing anything they set their minds too.

My Project

My students love center time! It's the best part of their day and something they look forward to when coming to class. BUT - sometimes its fun to think outside the box. That's why we want these educational games.

I see my students being able to have fun learning by utilizing these hands on games.

We also need new pouches that go with our hand made centers. These clear pouches allow students to write and eras with a dry erase marker with ease. We also need an iPad charging station to better organize our electronics we use for our listening stations.

For our guided reading groups we need the Snapwords teaching cards that will help my students with sight words.
