Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students are At-Risk Learners that will benefit and thrive when lessons are supported with visual resources that are colorful and durable. The ability to have personal storage to organize and keep their resources and supplies will also support them because everything will be accessible to them. Some days the ability to quickly provide students with resources that work for them is key….it can be the difference between grasping the concept or struggling with the concept. Other days, they are just so excited about an assignment/project that they want to take it home and share with their families.

The color printer will enable me to print resources that will support their learning on the spot as well as the ability to print assignments/projects to be shared with their family and the school community.

The laminating sheets will allow me to make durable resources for student use. They will be able to write on it with dry erase markers and refer for months to come. It will become a powerful example of how to use resources as a study aid.

The storage bins will give my students the ability to store their supplies and resources in an organized fashion. As each child will have their own bin, they can feel confident in knowing that their items are secured and if they need them they will know where they are found. Organization is a skill that will make them successful in their later academic years.
