Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The majority of my students are ESL. They have come from other countries and are learning the English language. They are a happy little bunch of kids extremely eager to learn! This eagerness is expressed with their curiosity of talking. This talking is important for their language development. Being that they are so curious, I would like to help expand their curiosity. I love seeing how happy they are to learn! They are very mindful, and it surprises me by how much they know since English is their second language.

I love seeing how happy and eager my students want to learn!

Seeing this eagerness with joy makes me feel I am tapping into that special place where their brains make connections. I would like to help make more connections for them by adding extra resources to help assist my students in their language development. I want to help their curious little minds reach growth in their learning.

My Project

These resources will assist me to provide extra opportunities of practice through fun educational games. These file folder games in math, science, and social studies will help evolve the joy of learning in my classroom. My students will use the Math file folder games to practice their computational skills in fun ways. They can use the Science file folder games to learn new vocabulary words they may not know. Also, they can use the Social studies file folder games to learn about our country. By making learning fun, my students will have plenty of opportunities to make connections. These connections will help build dendrites in their curious minds providing educational success.

With these new file folder games, my students will be able to choose from a variety of educational games independently while having fun at their own pace and level.

These new resources will allow my students plenty of chances to practice language development in fun ways!
