My Students

Our class is full of excited, eager-to-learn 1st graders, each of them from a different background bringing diversity to the table. We are in full distance learning, but each student joins in with a smile on their face and ready to take on the day.

These children are bright.

They share wonderful ideas daily. They are full of questions about the world around them. Each day, I am amazed by the ideas and discussions these children come up with!

We are learning in a different way this year. Even with this challenge of distance learning, I can see my students give me their best.

My Project

The document camera will give me the ability to project clear images for students to see. We are in distance learning and looking at all types of visuals is a daily part of learning. It is very challenging to write something down for the students and then try and get the paper to show through my web camera.

The use of the document camera will allow me to teach from home and show my students clear images of their learning material in real-time.

They will not have to wait for me to write, show the material to the camera, then remove the visual-only to write and repeat the same process over.

Students learn by seeing and doing. While I work on a writing example, modeling for students, they will be able to see in real-time what I am doing. This would also be the same for math practice, reading texts, modeling any examples that I can capture on the document camera, and project into our virtual class session.
