Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These supplies will help enhance the learning experience for our students in the classroom. Through your generous support, our students will be able to engage more effectively in learning and understanding global history. Students are more engaged in learning and doing history, when they are given the opportunity to express themselves in a creative manner.

With funding cuts to the public school budgets, we are severely limited in providing this creative avenue for students.

My students are high school students in a NYC public school classroom. Many of them qualify for free lunch and come from impoverished backgrounds. Expressing themselves, their culture, their identity, their voice, comes through when they are able to translate the knowledge they are learning in class to a creative outlet.

As a result of the presentation board, markers, and glue, my students will be able to create engaging, thought provoking presentations. Thank you.
