Making Friends Via Pens: 1st and 4th Grade Pen Pals
My Students need books on friendship for a pen pal project.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Martin's classroom raised $86
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Imagine putting a pen to paper and writing with all of your heart
Expressing a desire to tell your story, but not knowing where to start
Picture pulling your hair out
AAGH! You scream at every turn
Penning your favorite pen pal
Easy? No way! It’s hard
It’s actually something you must learn!
Books on buddies, friends forever
Will help put my students at ease
They’ll aid in making their writing flow
Especially with cool tablets and fun pencils
It'll be a breeze!
Won’t you support my 30 4th graders
In their writing endeavor?
They want to write to a bunch of 1st graders
Something funny, cool or clever
Whether lifetime or yearlong relationships, great ones I know they’ll create
The bonds between the 6- and 9-year olds, you’ll be unable to separate!
So, in this day of cell phones, text messages, e-mails and computers. . .
Consider supporting this "old-school" way of communicating with some friend-themed tutors!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
