This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love counting and showing me how many numbers they know and different memorized math problems. For example, they will very excitedly tell me every day they know what 5 + 5 is or they count by tens until the highest number they know. Many still might not know how to add odd numbers as quickly as their memorized math equations but still take on the challenge and try to figure out the math equation as fast as they can.

I want to provide my students with a variety of counting collections so that they do not loose interest in the math problem they are trying to solve and learn to count using fun counters.
