My Project

Using video games in teaching can help to increase student participation, foster social and emotional learning, and motivate students to accept differing opinions. My class are all students with cognitive disabilities, and we just recently won an xbox one from a raffle. However, we have no device to play this system on. Our class currently plays Kahoot every Friday, and I know they would learn so much and be able to practice many social skills learned in our curriculum if they had a TV and they able to earn time on the xbox one. This project will improve their motivation and engagement as they have a drive to work towards playing a game with their peers.
