This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a school in Hialeah, Florida and my school receives Title I funding because over 90% of our students are on free or reduced lunch and our community is made up of low-income families; However, don't feel sorry for me or my students because although our pockets may not be full, our hearts certainly are. We are a loving family, but sometimes families need a little help.

Today, my students are in need of computers in order to work both independently and cooperatively when conducting online research, creating original presentations, typing up documents and a host of other meaningful tasks.

My Project

Computers are without a doubt, the wave of the future. Unfortunately, my classroom only has five, working, student computers. In order to facilitate computer usage and enhance student exposure to technology, I am requesting four laptops, so that I may create a center that students would be able to work during the school day.

This computer center would allow students to utilize a tablet to conduct research, type up a document and/or access the internet during class.

I am looking to donors like you to make this project become a reality. It would make a difference in my classroom because my students would have access to the technology that they very much need.
