My Project

In my Grade 3 classroom, I am trying to teach my students financial literacy. Students earn tickets through completing classwork, volunteering, showing exceptional behavior, friendship, and for being responsible. Students can spend these tickets on a variety of items such as a no homework coupon, the snack cart, or the prize box. Students suggested the prizes they would like to save their tickets for. I would like to fill my prize box with the items that actually interest the children rather than what an adult thinks they want. I want the prize box to be something the students are excited to visit and spend their hard earned tickets on. My students work so hard despite the adversity they experience at home and in school and are learning how to save or spend as they will have to do when they get older. They deserve to have prizes they want! Please help us!
