This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our seventh grade students at North Middle School are eager to learn. We are a Title I school, and we want to help our students get the best education possible no matter what mountain we have to climb. Please help us with this initiative. I know the students will greatly benefit from it and appreciate it.
My Project
Our students at North Middle School deserve to learn about science through hands-on experiments, but they don't have a sink to wash materials and teachers find themselves trekking them home to wash or just not do them at all. There are no lab classrooms in our school. We are trying to inspire our students to shoot for the stars and motivate them towards STEM careers. If we were to provide our teacher with a portable sink and lab set up, students would be more engaged, and their idea of science transformed with the ability to get messy with science.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
