My Students

I am a first-grade and reading teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special, and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little 5- to 8-year-old eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students love to read, pretend, and imagine. They are curious and love to learn! We all participate in learning every day. They love so many fun activities throughout the year and our hope is to add even more. My students are amazing!

My Project

I love to teach reading! And I have had explicit training using Orton Gillingham Method! Since I have learned this method of teaching, I have seen amazing growth in my students reading abilities! And the best part is that even my struggling students are making amazing progress! I am having a ball, and they are feeling so much success! Imagine not being able to catch on to reading, while your class just keeps moving further and further ahead in their learning. The grades keep ticking by and pretty soon you are in 7th grade, still unable to read and having to do what you can to protect your confidence and get by.

No child should ever have to suffer with being unable to have the joy of reading due to learning challenges, and I have the tools to help them!

I love to help every child learn how to read! And, I especially love to help those who struggle and those who excel! I am requesting some super fun learning games to help reinforce the skills that I teach! My student would love to have all of these wonderful Splash games to practice blending, rhyming, decoding, beginning sounds, ending sounds, digraphs, consonant blends, letters and so many other fun and important skills! These games are so much fun because students draw a little inner tube out of the water/box and each inner tube has a mystery word or letter on it! They read or practice the skill on their card! But, look out, if they choose SPLASH, all of their innertubes go back into the box! How Fun! I am also requesting fun tactile letters! These letters are great for tracing and remembering letter formation and sounds! My students will love all of these great activities! Thank you so much!
