Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a little diamond in the rough. Housing students from Pre-K to 5th grade, we have almost 900 students from all over the world.

My third grade class consists of students from diverse backgrounds, ranging from five different continents.

For some of my students, it is the first time they have been in an English-speaking classroom. Needless to say, the learning accommodations are as varied as my students are.

The 21st century requires classrooms equipped to match the challenges facing my students and help prepare them for their futures.

My Project

With the push for STEM/STEAM education in schools, it's important to expose our students to the marvels of engineering and design at an early age. Last year, thanks to DonorChoose.org, my students created awesome vehicles and structures using the engineering process.

The students are ready to have their own "Makerspace." They will continue to think inventively and imaginatively.

They will solve problems with specified constraints, build creative designs, and more. The 3D printer will allow their creations to come to life. Can you imagine the looks on their faces when they see their designs come to life? These creations will enhance the students' overall education.
