Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My goofy, curious and active students make me smile and laugh everyday. They have a contagious energy and a love for the simple pleasures in life including: dancing in their chairs, playing a game together with no screens, curling up with a good story, and practicing mindfulness.

My Project

My reading and writing students sit for about 90 minutes a class period. Students would benefit from the added opportunity for movement while at their desks. Students also find that having the bands to rest their feet on helps with their physical comfort levels. They would be thrilled to have the option to utilize these simple accommodations.

Our classroom community thrives on fun and comfort.

We would love to play games of bingo to spice up our vocabulary reviews. Our classroom library consistently runs low on spooky stories because we can not keep up with the demand for this genre! This book set would bond many of my students to reading. Students can use the fidgets to disengage stresses during our morning Social Emotional Learning block and throughout their school day.
