My Project

A Global Connection project will help high school students explore how different cultures around the world adapt to climate change and environmental challenges. Students will understand the relationship between climate and culture. Students will research and present how climate influences culture, traditions, architecture, food, and daily life in various regions. Students will develop creative presentations showcasing their findings.

Nelson Mandela famously stated, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world".

We lack knowledge because we fail to expand our education and findings outside our normal norms. Students will form small groups of 5 members. Each group selects a region or country to study. Investigate the climate of the selected region. Students will identify cultural aspects influenced by climate, such as housing, clothing, food, and traditions. Students must explore local sustainability practices and adaptations to climate change. Groups will create a visual presentation, poster board, PowerPoint, or video using an iPad as the primary device, along with a trifold board and other art materials needed to be creative.
