My Students

I am an occupational therapist at 3 of NYC's public schools, working with a group of fun, motivated, and bright, elementary, middle, and high school students, many of whom have Autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or other developmental delays that make learning in a typical classroom difficult. Having access to the appropriate space and tools to learn, strengthen, and support their access to education is a must.

My Project

With occupational therapy, my students have the opportunity to engage in a variety of therapeutic activities that are fun and challenging, all through individualized, hands-on learning. All materials will be used to provide my students with COVID safe supplies that can be effectively sanitized and utilized for fun and functional learning , as well as, provide materials to use at home for days when remote learning is necessary. Through the use of these materials, my students will develop and enhance skills that can be directly transferred into components of their academic life and activities of daily living.
