Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. They are highly motivated to learn not just mathematics but also English. Most of my students come from families with low income. Our school is a Title 1 school and students have been living in the country for no more than two years. My students need to use these resources to draw graphs and by using hands-on activities they will be able to comprehend mathematics. My students are English Learner students with a level 1 in math. Last year, my students suceed in the Algebra 1 EOC, state test that will give students the oportunity to graduate from hish school. several of my students are enrolled in the Geometry Honors class and also they became Math Executive tutors in my math classed making a difference in my school.

My Project

Having a table in class where students can write and solve math examples will give students the freedom to express themselves. Students will be able to solve math problems sharing and checking their answers with their classmates. These materials will cause a big impact in my class since we haven't had the resources to obtain one of those tables for the math class. The table will be used to incorporate differenciate instructions in class. The 30 small white board will be used to incorporate coperative learning in class. These resources will change the trend of the math class this school year.
