My Project

Entrepreneurship! In this project, my 10th graders will combine their graphic arts and computer skills along with their entrepreneurial skills to create and promote their restaurant kiosk business.

Organized in teams, students will learn how to be competitive in the food industry as they develop their design and marketing skills as well as their workplace related skills such as team building and customer service.

Students will improve their work skills as they assume roles necessary to ensure the successful daily operations of their business. This financial support will assist with the purchase of equipment, tools, paper goods, etc. Students will sell stock investment to purchase food items. They will analyze their market daily, manage and maintain inventory, and learn about cost of goods sold, income and expenses, gross and net profit, and calculating dividends. Each group will use their Excel skills to track and analyze their financials.
