My Students

What makes my students special? They are a motivated group of outstanding third graders who want to learn as much as they can about the world around them. They are curious and have a huge passion for both learning and teaching others.

My students have an amazing sense of creativity and want to use that creativity more in the classroom.

They love to learn more about the way things work or create their own inventions. They are a group of kids who are motivated to work together to help each other reach their goals. In addition, they are also a wonderful group of learners who enjoy hands on activities.

My Project

My students are so creative and love hands on learning. When we add our new supplies to our Makerspace, it will allow my students to use their passion and showcase their learning in a hands-on visual way. They will be able to use the Legos and Brain Flakes to build elements to support the lessons taught. Such as building a house for our crayfish or creating the invention from the biography they are reading. The Osmo kit will help them work on their math and spelling skills, as well as problem solving tasks. The modeling clay and building straws will allow further creation and understanding as they use it to highlight the main ideas of their learning.

Donating to our project will help not only increase the students' motivation to learn, but will help them develop more collaboration and problem solving skills.

It will allow them to step into the driver's seat and make decisions about their learning. They will get to decide what tool is best for them to display their big idea they have learned about. Not all children learn the same, so having many different options in our Makerspace allows for differentiation, choice and flexibility to meet everyone's needs.
