My Project

My students love STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. STEAM is an interdisciplinary approach that explores STEM subjects through inquiry, creative thinking, and problem-solving techniques associated with liberal arts. So, while STEAM projects are science-based, they also make room for curiosity, imagination and artistic expression.

STEAM education encourages students to think critically and arrive at solutions by themselves.

In STEAM curriculums, the teacher explains a basic concept and then students are encouraged to work to apply the information to projects themselves. For example, my students are making butterflies with coffee filters and pipe cleaners and then dropping the butterflies from a height. This task requires the students to think about what would make the butterflies stay in the air the longest - the size of the wings, the weight of the butterflies, or perhaps something else.

In order to make the most of our STEAM curriculum, we would like to create a "Maker Space" in our classroom. An area where all the necessary supplies for building and exploration are accessible to the students. Please provide us with this beautiful STEAM cart and bins so that we may create such a space.

Thank you.
