This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students will be learning about science concepts as they build cell models, devices that maximize or minimize thermal energy, projects from their own ideas, and much more. Giving students supplies can fuel their imagination and help them to become problem solvers to shape the future of their communities. Our school is one of the only middle schools in our district and is a rather small school in a rural area. Students continually show their abilities as they design solutions to many different scenarios which requires a lot of supplies to do. Students use beads, pom poms, counting chips, and such to represent the organelles inside a cell. Propeller and wheels can help students create rovers, cars, and physics models. The foam can be used in thermal energy devices.
