My Students

My students live in the diverse neighborhood of Kew Gardens, Queens. They attend a NYC public school. Some of my students come from low-income families. They are extremely hard-working and creative 5th graders. Many apply to attend the NYC middle school of their choice which will even further advance their educational career. Each and every day they give their all. They enjoy working in groups and helping each other in their learning journey. Engagement is they key to success.

My Project

We have a limited limited technology at my school. I know even just a small number of iPads in the classroom will enhance my students' learning. Students will be able to easily practice skills they are struggling with in an interactive way. It can also help my students to excel above the 5th-grade level. It can help my English language learners work towards learning the language. There is a wealth of applications that can help my students in math or reading. Students will be able to work individually, with partners, or in groups to complete tasks. I know my students will enjoying having the technology, like an iPad, at their finger tips each day.
