My students are young intellectuals who are trying to trying to understand the world and its workings through a science lens. They come in everyday with questions about how things work around them and love to be inquisitive. They learn through various different tools such as collaborative learning, hands on labs during every day objects.
My students are looking forward to understanding the study of life through exploration of every day living objects around them and supporting their understanding by using practical applications.
I presently teach two separate courses, one in Biology and one in Forensics and we do not have access to working microscopes. As my Biology students start exploring the microscopic cell unit, these tiny microscopes would allow them to explore what is around the school campus through their phones. These accessible microscopes will allow my students to prepare samples of anything small from a bacteria sample to their own skin cells and visualize all the abstract microscopic concepts and bring them to life. My forensics class can also utilize these microscopes to analyze mock evidence such as hair and fiber samples which drives the concept home.
These tiny microscopes will expose the microscopic world to my students!
