Make School Feel Normal Again

Help me give my students the extra resources we need during Covid 19. We would love books, writing books, learning supplies, and a bookcase to make school feel normal again!

My Students

I have 60 of the best 3rd grade students who would love extra resources! I teach 60 students daily split into two classes of 30. My students learn half of the day in English and half of the day in Spanish. These bilingual students need more resources to help with their learning. Many of the children have been in the same class together since kindergarten creating many interesting, sibling-like relationships and friendships. They both support and challenge each other every day. These students collaborate with other grade levels such as kindergarten to enhance learning responsibly and life skills.

Creative, determined, enthusiastic; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.

My Project

The resources we are requesting will greatly impact student learning in a time like now. My students have gone above and beyond trying to relearn and deal with our new normal. My students will use these resources to make learning and school fun again after the challenging years we have faced.

We will use the writing books and large post-it paper to dive into literacy instruction as my students become young authors!

My students write and read each day and will use the books and labels to help organize our classroom library. We also use books and writing materials with our kindergarten buddies. We meet with them to practice reading and help close the gap that occurred during online learning due to Covid.
