My Students

My students inspire me each day with their fierce zest for life and their dedication to their family and friends. They are curious, creative, and come to life with IXL. They want lessons to feel real, and meaningful - not abstract or theoretical.

In NYC schools, students unfortunately have limited access to textbooks and other practice materials.

Students struggle to adjust to remote learning and not having that daily in person interaction with their teachers.

My Project

With COVID-19 upending the school environment as we know it, students in our high-need community need access to a math resource that will help them continue learning while at home.

IXL is a great tool that gives students unlimited attempts to practice their skills that they learn in class.

The exercises are adaptive and provide instant feedback for each question. With IXL, each student gets the practice that align with their mastery. Our students and staff bought in last year, and IXL gave us lots of useful data to shape our instruction. When we went remote, IXL became an even more important tool.
