My Students

My students are a beautiful, culturally and linguistically diverse group with differing abilities. My classroom is hands- and brains-on, and we love to learn from one another.

My students give their all in the classroom despite facing the incredible challenge of learning a new language and assimilating to a new culture.

My goal is to inspire my students to believe in themselves and to become lifelong learners. They have made my life brighter, and I would like to brighten theirs in return! They are so deserving!

My Project

I am requesting sets of high interest and diverse books to help my students regain a love for reading and learning! My students will be able to read these books in class as well as take them home on remote learning days!

This school year has been extremely difficult for students and teachers, and I notice that students no longer display the same joy about learning as they did before the pandemic.

I want to foster a new love of learning and reading with these high interest and diverse books! Students will laugh and notice themselves represented in these stories. I know this project will make a great difference, and it won't be possible without your help!
