Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The supplies we need to improve our school and local community are a color printer, paper, and supplies to hang the student-designed and created posters that we will use to hang in our school and in the community to bring awareness to the issue that my students identified that they would like to change. The issue my students selected as their mission is to reduce pollution and garbage that accumulates in our school playground and in the local community, in parks and areas where students live.

My students will design posters and then we will print them in color and use the hanging supplies to post them.

By creating posters, my students want to raise awareness and convince people in our school and local communities to help improve our communities by not littering, throwing out their trash, and recycling and reusing as much as possible.

This ties in directly to the lessons we are learning about in our science classes.
