Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! They are only 4 years old and they are so smart and energetic, always inquiring. They are funny and kind. I can't wait to take my students on field trips, so they can explore the world around them, outside, and inside the classroom. Their eagerness to learn empower them to move forward to achieve their goals, and it's so rewarding to witness it. I am so blessed to be their teacher.

My Project

The materials will help us label our classroom (pencil boxes, backpack, desks, word walls, classroom labels, t-shirts for our adventurous pre-kinder students). Studies show that a print rich environment will help my students memorize, recognize and ultimately read common words. It is very important for my students to interact with many different forms of print. My students will be taking their reading backpack home already labeled with their names. With all the materials we will be able to fill our word wall and alphabet wall with many words for them to learn. We are very excited!
