I love my students. I teach 12th grade. Over the last three years they have been through so much. For this group, their entire high school experience was Covid and its effects. The mental health crisis caused by the pandemic is affecting students in a way I have never before seen in my career. I want to give my students a mental health day and then keep these resources in my room so they get used to taking care of their own minds when they need to. Additionally, I need food. So many of our students don't have enough at home and are always hungry. I get asked "Ms. Craig do you have snacks?" fifteen times a day. Students can't learn or take care of their mental and emotional health if they are hungry. So please help provide me these resources so my classroom can be a place of safety and calm for my amazing seniors (and whatever other students need to come hang out).
