My Students

My school is a Title 1 public school located in the Bronx with the majority of students on free or reduced lunch. We have students living in single-parent homes, shelters, and foster care. Our students are faced with many challenges. As a teacher during this pandemic, I want our classroom whether brick and mortar or remotely to be an inviting, comfortable and safe place where my students have access to all resources to support their social, emotional, and academic success.

As a public school teacher, I am faced with many obstacles to make remote learning successful.

I would like to optimize technology resources to provide an equitable learning experience for students who opt to learn fully remotely due to this pandemic.

My Project

Having a split screen setup will allow me to hold live-virtual instruction seamlessly. Having one screen, limits my interaction with my entire class. Two screens will allow me to share my screen and view my class simultaneously. With two screens, this issue is resolved.

The LG Wide Screen monitor will allow me to share my screen and model lessons through a multitude of platforms.

Having a dual screen will enable me to prepare my lessons more efficiently. I can view several windows at once rather than wasting precious time going from tab to tab. The HDMI cable will allow me to connect the second monitor to my device.

A dual screen setup will allow my students to have a more enriched virtual learning environment.
