My Project

My students conduct more productively when they are given choices in accessing the resources. Flexible seatings allow my students to choose where and how they prefer to perform, especially when they are in learning centers. It enhances a sense of welcoming and belonging in the classroom community. It increases their comfort level and allows them to better focus on their learning.

By donating to this project, you will provide my students with essential support: strengthening their self-esteem, reinforcing positive learning enthusiasm, creating and respecting their comfort, decision/choice makings, sense of welcoming and belonging, touch stimulation, decrease disruptive behaviors and focus and refocus on going instructions.

I am requesting flexible seating for my students while they are in the learning centers, such as “Reading Corner” , "Digital Station" and ‘Meet with the Teacher”. My students are unique in learning. Some of them like to sit straight on their desks. Some of them like to cuddle in a quiet area. Some of them like to sit on a floor mat with back support because they need the rocking stimulation. The back support will help to protect them in case they fall back to the floor. The yoga seat is another option to address my students' sensory needs while seating. In addition, a small group of guided reading instructions can be conducted according to students' comfy choices. The products that I have selected would provide my students a friendly, engaging and motivating learning environment.
