My fifth grade students attend an elementary school in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. We are part of a diverse community filled with hard-working families, supporting their children's academic needs as best they can. As a school, we focus on always doing what's best for kids! We have received many acknowledgments for the success we have achieved in meeting the needs of our students, even though we have limited resources.
Students learn best when they are having fun and are engaged in the learning.
I may be biased but I have some of the best 5th graders! Their desire to learn and be the best they can be blows me away every day. However with the curriculum becoming more rigorous and technology is become a necessity in the classroom. This is why I am looking to add iPads to our classroom.
My Project
I’m looking to add two iPads into my classroom to play interactive games that are fun but help students to learn while working in small groups.
I love to make learning fun and lets face it, the kiddos love technology.
It will be a big part of their future. There are several amazing resources for teachers to use (several are free) but an iPad is required. These resources are engaging and help solidify content being taught in the classroom. Several games require them to have hands on learning keeping learning fun!
Please consider helping this 5th grade classroom bring technology to every student that enters it.
