Our school is an Elementary school in New York, serving a population of 804 students, with 95% of our students eligible for free lunch. Our neighborhood is inner-city, with low – moderate income families.

We are currently in the process of making some much needed upgrades to our Art Room to provide the basic equipment of an average Art Room. At present, our art room has no drying rack and art projects are laid on the radiators, desks, or on the floor to dry, leaving little space for movement in the room. There are five classes using the art room daily and there comes a point when there is no space for drying, so no more than one class is able to work on painting projects on a given day. For projects that require several days for completion, only one class is able to work on their projects at a time, causing delays for the other classes.

To maximize the use of the Art Room, allowing more classes to work on painting projects at the same time, we would appreciate the donation of a Steel Drying Rack.

Your donation of a Steel Drying Rack for our Art Room will make it possible for all of our students to not only enjoy their painting sessions in art, but provide a neater and safer way of drying artwork, making it more presentable.
