My Project
Everything you see here is just replenishing or adding to what we have, and I thank you all on this site because our Biology Classroom is robust due to donations from you all! The filter is for a broken filter we have been fixing again and again and it's just time for a new one. We have 6 tanks in the classroom ranging from 5 gallons to 30 gallons, and I could never do it all alone.
My students help me and they run most of everything including the water testing in the fish tanks, cleaning the substrate as needed, and periodic water changes.
We are asking for more strips for testing water quality as well. Some have asked for more substrate, a new one gallon, and a new terrarium set up, so I told them, "Okay let's ask and see what happens."
I am also adding some supplies for modeling, I have been trying modeling of DNA structures with pipe cleaners, and yarn and making protein models using pony beads, and it has been a great hit, so I'm asking to replenish our supplies. I have included Mitosis slides for microscopes as ours are getting very old and used with over 200 students using them each year.
We also start all the seeds for our school garden under our grow lights in class, so by getting us the seed starter soil and seeds you would actually be giving to a school garden that serves over 2000 students and their families and community members.
