Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a vibrant community where major art forms were created and developed. They love to sing and dance and to play instruments. Students will often stop by my classroom or stop me in the hallway or in the cafeteria to ask what instrument they will get to play that day. My classroom is a place for children to explore and try out the different sounds in their world and the roles they can play in music making.

My Project

The Press N Seal will be used to help limit the amount of times we need to disinfect our drums. If we disinfect our drums too often, the membranes may be destroyed.

Our students are bringing guitars and ukuleles to and from school everyday and sometimes accidents happen.

The guitar and ukulele strings will help replace broken strings.

The drum dust cover and drumsticks will be used to protect and play our new drum set.

The stools and cushions will be used as flexible seating when my students can finally come back to playing in our music room next year!
