Help me give my students mailboxes to store and organize papers and their folders.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Chung's classroom raised $667
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are so curious about the world. At four and five years old, they are constantly asking questions and want to know more. Their desire for knowledge is evident. In these fundamental years of development, they are learning to be readers and writers. This group has a passion for learning.
My students are highly motivated kindergartners from West Harlem (Title I District) that have so much potential to succeed.
My class student population is diverse and is made up of multiple ethnicities, ENL (English as a New Language), IEP (Individualized Education Program) students. Diversity within our school is something we embrace and nurture.
In kindergarten, we teach children about empathy. This group is caring and they always strive to be better community members. They take an interest in each other. I want my students to always take pride in themselves and their learning materials.
My Project
A mailbox in the classroom will support my students with organizing all the papers they have for the day along with the notices that go home at the end of the day. The students will have a space to put their folders. This will assist them with independently packing up at the end of the day.
Having a mailbox will save time in the morning while they unpack and in the afternoon when they pack up leaving more time for activities throughout the day.
More than half of students from low‑income households
