My Students

I am an elementary music teacher and teach Pre-K through 5th music, band, and chorus. In our community, our kids love and enjoy music but do not come from homes that can always access the opportunities that other kids might be able to afford.

Our kids love to sing, play instruments, and especially perform in musicals, but often do not have the full resources or support to foster the complete success of their desire.

For a small rural school, we have 34 in our chorus and 28 in our band.

We would LOVE to be able to make some steps in our abilities to enjoy MORE the full rewards of music making and performance. We are an appreciative and grateful community.

My Project

Our sound system at school is terrible. Kids put their heart into their performances. They often give their best for their parents, teachers, and friends.

Therefore, there is nothing so disappointing as a play or performance where you can only hear 20% of what is being sung or said.

We know what a sound mixer and microphones can do. Unfortunately, much of our equipment is not working or well-worn.

A new mixer with microphone accessories would be a BIG SOUND BOOST to our school! This project not only benefits our kids, but families and the community as well. It's a WIN/WIN for everyone!
