My Project

Children often find it difficult to express their feelings. This can be due to a fear of rejection, diminished self-love, or the simple lack of a safe space to share their feelings. Having a classroom with inclusive literature and relatable stories will help to give a voice to my students as they make connections to the characters.

Storytime in an elementary classroom is magical.

It is a time where the impossible often feels possible and a time where everyone feels valued and heard. Sharing stories with characters that are representative of the students that I teach will be invaluable.
