Every morning, I am greeted by 24 energetic, excited, fun-loving children. These children come from all different walks of life and bring their own creative energy to our classroom. Our classroom is a very fun and nurturing atmosphere and together we are a team.
My students are a wonderful group of second graders from diverse backgrounds.
They are bright, funny, clever, curious, and show a world of potential, but need your support to be able to reach their full potential. I love working with 2nd graders because they are becoming much more aware of the world around them. They are beginning to want more independence, but are still looking for someone to guide them.
My Project
Studies show that students learn when they become responsible for their own learning. Think about the student who can use these manipulatives to grasp a math concept or to problem solve, then use them to explain the concept to a friend! These math manipulatives will provide not only the foundation to many math concepts, but allow students to explore and expand their knowledge for higher order of thinking!
These manipulatives will allow each student in the class to have their own manipulatives to learn many math concepts from addition, multiplication to even fractions!
Math is a critical need area and these manipulatives are just the thing to help get my students on the right track.
