Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My PreK students are curious about everything that they see and hear and touch. PreK is a great time to mold the children's minds and encourage them to use their creativity and imagination. I work diligently to provide sensory experiences for my students to maximize their engagement and learning.

Designing and creating these experiences gets creative when resources are limited.

Outdoor play is conducive to a myriad of fundamental learning. This is a challenge when our school is smack in the middle of the city.

My Project

All of my students love to build and create a variety of structures. Magna-Tiles are preferred by my students because the tiles can connect from all sides. My students are able to create 3-D structures with ease. Once they create and build their structures, my students are engaged in their imagination. My young learners are then busy at language rich conversations about their structures. Magna-Tiles can be used for indoor or outdoor play. These colorful tiles are my students' favorite. Thus, our classroom set is now missing several pieces and most pieces are damaged. My students love these magnetic tiles!
