Help me give my students magnetic learning materials they need to learn important academic skills through remote learning! These materials can also be used when in-school learning resumes!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with 18 wonderful and inquisitive pre-kindergarten students in a very diverse school in Brooklyn, New York. We have children from many different cultures in our class and children with many special abilities.
Our Pre-K students love to learn new things daily!
For many of these children, it is their first year in school. They are learning about themselves, others, school rules, routines, and many new concepts in various subjects! They have many opportunities to explore what kind of learners they are and learn concepts in many different ways!
My Project
COVID-19 had changed the way we are educating our students. Although children should be in a classroom learning from a teacher and their peers, we are unfortunately in a time where learning has to take place remotely at least part of the time.
I need materials I can put on a magnetic board to teach my students important academic skills.
My magnetic board will be an important part of learning online. As I go live online with children and when I record lessons, I need to have materials that children can see and understand. I am asking for various magnetic materials I can use on my magnetic board to show children how to make words, use shapes, measure things, use counters to add, etc. I am asking for various early childhood materials so children can understand important academic concepts through remote learning.
My students and I appreciate any help you can give! Thank you so much!
