My Project

I have the pleasure of working with the most extraordinary, resilient kids who are active and eager to learn daily. They love any hands-on learning experience and thrive in an engaging hands-on environment. My class consists of various kindergarten through third-grade students who have special education needs. My kids love to learn using hands-on activities.

Currently, we need a dry-erase board that will allow students to enhance and develop their lacking large and fine body muscles, which are the pre-cursor to pre-reading and pre-writing.

The physical act of practicing daily writing on a large wall-hung dry-erase board will encourage students to naturally cross their center midpoint to improve their handwringing, memory, and learning skills. In addition, repetition of motion builds muscle memory.

My students learn best using these motions on the dry-erase board with color-coding pens to draw or write about daily discussion topics. A whiteboard allows the information to remain visible for long periods versus the projected technology that must turn pages from slide to slide.

Finally, We will add some rope lighting around the whiteboard to add interest and use the magnetic component for instructional aids, games, magnetic letters, numbers, and pictures. as well as a needed organization cart and other small items to maintain organization.
