Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are kindergarten and 1st grade students who are in the classroom two days a week and three days a week working one-on-one with their families. They are amazing children whose actions always come from their hearts. We spend our days in the classroom with lots of hands-on activities that get us up and moving. My school focuses on learning through classical education. Students are encouraged to play a major role in their personalized learning plan through goal setting and project-based learning. The children have voice and choice in their daily learning.

My Project

With the Magna-Tiles students can create 2-D and 3-D models of geometric shapes that they are learning in math.

Students are so creative with their creations and the excitement is contagious when they are sharing about their masterpiece​.

Students imaginations are given life when they create with the Magna-Tiles. They have created things and then show someone and that person sees the creation in another way. The children love seeing what each person's vision will be.

They have created butterflies, scorpions, plants and so much more. They have made castles that come to life as they stretch up to the clouds!
