I teach learning-disabled students. They have a variety of disabilities which include autism, severely emotionally disturbed, and learning-disabilities . My school is a Title I school and right now we are learning remotely.
My learning-disabled students have a variety of disabilities and they come from every ethnic and social-economic background.
They are loving and caring students that need extra help and assistance in order to achieve their highest potential.
Helping them get back into regular classes and graduate is my most important goal. So books and chemistry serves that goal.
My Project
My students have been learning remotely since March. Together it has been a steep learning-curve but by reading to them and mailing them scientific "surprises," it has helped close the distance cap between my students and I. The books help them see how alike we all are and they love it when I read to them.
On "Magical Fridays" I started doing experiments with my learning-disabled students online and with the help of their parents, they're experimenting with me with smiles on their faces.
Yes that's why I need the chemistry kits. More experiments means more learning and more happy faces.
