This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As kindergarteners they are learning to read! It is my job to encourage students and teach them the endless possibilities of reading and how books can encourage them to go beyond their day to day lives.

Having a reading corner in my room creates a choice, a quiet space, and an area to focus on the goal to read in an inviting and comfortable way.

A space that fosters warmth and integration for all students will be a great addition to our classroom. Items like a storage bench, dough mats, and a social emotional book set are just the start to this amazing project and encourage fine motor development.
