My Students

I am a first-grade and reading teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special, and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little 5- to 8-year-old eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students. My students love to read, pretend and imagine. They are curious and love to learn! We all participate in learning every day. They love so many fun activities throughout the year and our hope is to add even more. My students are amazing!

My Project

What is more fun than a magic wand? We will get to use this sparkly magic wand to learn all of our magic e words. Students grow by leaps and bounds when they learn how to sound out long vowel words. What a special treat to be able to learn with magic.

My students love to learn how to read, and this magic wand will make learning an extra special treat!

I am also requesting some very colorful tiles that we will use to practice phoneme awareness, a pitcher to store our colorful, letter formation sand, a syllable division book, and morpheme cards for learning new words. I love to make learning to reading an extra special experience for my students. I want my students to be so excited to come in to my class, and they will be with these new learning goodies. We will use the tiles to play all kinds of phonemic awareness games, onset and rime. They will manipulate the tiles with their fingers and make all kinds of new sounds and words. The syllable division book is for students to find and learn how to divide words. The morpheme card packs are wonderful and very necessary for learning word parts, roots and bases. We will use these every single day. We really appreciate any help that you can provide. Thank you so much for your support.
