My Students

I love when my students finally become independent and follow the class routine.

I also love when they learn a new skill and can do it independently because it took 3 months to learn.

Our class is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are learning to read, write, and count, while some of their classmates are learning to imitate sounds or hold paintbrushes. Our group loves to play outside, learn new games, and boogie to a sweet tune.

Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty completing assignments or activities at home because of a lack of supplies.

My Project

Some of my students come in verbally speaking, echolalia, limited verbal, or completely not speaking at all. The materials that would be donated would help to functionally help my students to communicate in school, at home, and in the community. The materials would also decrease frustration due to the inability to communicate effectively.

The materials would also allow my students to speak spontaneously and increase independence to communicate and help overall with their academics and social learning.

The other materials such as flexible seating would help to decrease my student's inability to focus and decrease the disruptive behavior of their peers and would increase their attention and ability to engage and complete tasks or activities.
